Boston Snow Fall 2009 quips and quotes

Snow removal budgets in Worcester, Boston and probably in New England towns and cities have exceeded the estimates town officials entered when annual budgets were being decided.
The Metro Newspaper reported that Boston has exceeded its $12.5 million dollar snow removal plan and contractor’s budget in 2009 already.
The NECN television network added on more woe. Complimented by Boston Globe reports that the Boston Public Schools may eliminate jobs and positions due to imposed budget cuts and other expenses, all that snow and ice we have had in Boston this year has remarkably been cleared on time and on schedule by city officials and their contract snow removal plows.
..” weather’s unpredictability leaves Boston, and all other municipalities, little choice but to plow, salt and shovel its way out” said one official in charge of managing things in the City of Boston, reported the Metro.
But, all is not so bad when it snows in Boston.
Organizations embrace urban youth who try out their snow boarding skills. And when televised weather forecasters explained tomorrow’s snowfall expectations it hasn’t been so bad.
This is “a typical Boston winter” said a neighbor on her way with a shovel to pick away ice down at the corner. It was thick and hard that her plan for using her tool didn’t work that day.
I’ll bet the person who visited BostonSnowman.com on a Google Search for keyword “ski discount coupons” found something.
Yep, it was probably a good deal but I don’t know where they spent the money.
